REASONS TO VISIT UTE TRAIL GREENHOUSE

1.  Tomato Starts - We grow over 100 varieties of tomato starts (mostly heirlooms) in small pots for frost free planting times. All Vegetables and Herbs are grown organically.

2.  Coral Bells (Heuchera) - We believe we have one of the largest, if not the largest selection of Coral Bells in the state of Colorado.

3.  Lavenders - We grow the lavenders for the Denver Botanic Gardens Mother's Day Sale and consequently have a huge selection of Lavender varieties.

4.  Echinacea - We have a passion for the purple coneflower (Echinacea) and we grow every new variety we can get our hands on.

5.  Roses - We grow every kind, one whole greenhouse devoted to them, we do not believe you should only grow own root roses or avoid Hybrid Tea and Floribundas roses.  There is a place for all types of roses if you have the willingness to plant and care for them in the proper manner.

6.  New Varieties for the Adventuresome Gardener- We try to get every new plant introduction that we believe is worth a try, even ordering from Europe if necessary.

7. Tried and True Varieties for the Beginning Colorado Gardener.  We want your first efforts to be successful so that you will come to enjoy gardening as much as we do.

8.  Heirloom Plants - For those of us who like to have plants that remind us of our youth and family.  This includes vegetables as well as flowers.  We definitely cater to the nostalgia that lives in most of us.

9.  Native Plants - Grown from seeds and cuttings.

10.Trees, Evergreens and Shrubs - Hardy, Native, Unusual, Ornamental, we want to test them all.

11. Education, Planting and Growing Advice -  We emphasize the importance of leaf color, texture, structure and multi-season of interest for flower gardens and lawns instead of limiting the garden to a single blooming season.  We also emphasize that the correct planting, watering, and winter watering of your new purchase is the key to its survival.  We are convinced the plants are watered too much and we try to test the limits of what a plant can withstand.  First and Foremost, we are Gardeners who love to share the love we have for what we grow.

12. A fun place to visit - We have sample gardens to view, sitting areas to relax, funky experiments to scratch your head over.

13. Recycle - We have accepted recycled pots all the years we have been in business.  We incorporate tree stumps, broken pottery, stones and anything else that looks interesting into our landscapes.

14. Plant Finder Service - If you want us to try to locate and grow a plant for you, we will give it our best shot.

15. Commitment to Wildlife - Our plantings are designed to draw in and feed butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.  We also feed the birds which we have found help reduce the number of harmful insects we do not want.  Now if we could only find some harmless way to rid us of voles.

16. Dog Friendly - Yes bring your dog.  They enjoy gardens too.  Come meet Patsy and Gus, they love the company.

15. Delivery Service-yes we have.

16 Planting Service-yes we have.

17. Design Service-yes we hav.

18. Gift Certificates-yes we have.
